In this second episode of Stop the Drift, we confront a troubling question: What if God’s greatest goal is not to heal you, but to conform you to the image of Christ? The church can easily adopt therapeutic ideas that redefine sin as brokenness, repentance as recovery, and sanctification as a journey of self discovery.
Drawing from 2 Corinthians 12:9, this episode examines the promise God never made, the exhausting pilgrimage that promise creates, and the thorn God may choose not to remove. The danger is not in praying for healing, but in believing that Christ has failed when healing does not come. Sometimes God does not remove the weakness because He intends to display the sufficiency of His grace through it.
